Well, this will be short. I want to say that as a team, Maximus the Dog is coming together quite nicely. I play AD Carry for the team. We met a guy named Adam, or Pulsewidth, who plays support and was pretty damn good at it while playing some normals. Well, for some reason he kept playing with us, and we decided to make a 5's team. We don't expect to be very good, but we're hoping to make it to Silver one of these days!
We've kind of gone with a mix of Korean style & split push style thinking that it's the safest way to win a game. Since map pressure is the easiest way to protect your own base, we try to do crazy things like 2v1 lanes to get towers down quickly. Our 'top' lane guy, Derrick, or Ridiculoso, has been mastering Cho'Gath lately, because he can hold his own in a 1v2 lane pretty good. He may not get ridiculoso farm, but he can keep them off the tower generally. Well, for the lane I play in, we have been playing Janna and Caitlin a lot. It's an easy lane to push with, and with Janna's shield, we can take turrets down quicker than most duos. And if they stay on the turret, they usually get a Tornado and a Peacemaker to the face.
What we basically do is switch top and bottom lane, and hope that our 1v2 can hold out longer than theirs, then we switch it back. Taking early turrets not only gives an earlier gold advantage, but it demoralizes their team. Then, when we get later into the game, we keep the enemy in constant motion by pressuring turrets on all lanes. When they leave one lane to save another, we pressure that lane. Having the enemy reacting to our moves is much more enjoyable than reacting to theirs.
We're still searching for the perfect mid-lane champ for this to work, but I think we'll find it eventually. That's it for now!

Intro to my life.
Well, I live alone in the big city! Wait..that's not as good as it seems! Although my house can stay clean now, food stays in my cabinets, and it's quiet...it gets boring. But hopefully this blog will accept me as a friend :)
A little about me:
I've always been a nerd that loves outdoors. I love video games, board games, role playing games, and on the other side of the spectrum I love sports, camping, and riding my old motorcycle (when it starts).
In 2012 my mom moved to a town about 45min. from my house. I think that's the perfect distance because we can see each other often, but not too often! Well, she said she felt bad cause she didn't help pay for my schooling, even though I never asked her to. But, she ended up buying me a 1979 Harley Davidson Sportster (XLCH for you ironheads). My uncle taught me how to ride it, and got one for himself, a 1978 Sportster. That thing is AWESOME. I've ridden bicycles my entire life, but this was just a whole new thrill. The hot summer air in your face, weaving through traffic, so awesome. My friends have always said I pick up on things way too quickly, so learning to ride took about a weekend and I was good to go. I do have to say that I've never been really good at anything, but you can bet your ass I'll learn how to do it quickly.
Well, the gas tank had a leak in September, and it's been in the garage ever sense. I put on a new tank, and am still trying to get it started (been in the 30's so too cold to try hard). But let's back up to last fall after the bike broke down. My roomate and best friend for almost 20 years got a job out of town, in Oklahoma. He stopped paying the electric bill, so when I tried to move in October, I had to pay $1,000 to get it enabled. Luckily I got friends who will help me out :) And I'm almost done paying back that friend for helping me take care of our other friend's problem. I had that roomate for about 4 - 4.5 years, and have always had a roomate since 18, and by the way, I'm 26 now.
It was a humbling experience to have no electricity for a month and a half. Cold showers were probably the worst, especially when the house temperature was in the high 40's (46 was coldest I saw on the thermometer). But, it taught me to be appreciative of everything I took for granted. I didn't really complain, because I wasn't in a deathly situation, and it wouldn't ruin my life. I just looked at it for what it was...I was homeless, shacking up in my own home :).
I'm now in my own apartment, and the living arrangement is so much better! But, as I eluded to at the start...it's boring as hell. Luckily I'm a gamer, so I play games online with my best friends every day, but I'll get more into that aspect of my life in future posts.
In this blog I hope to dive into my personal life, to show any non-gamer, that gaming is actually a way of life. And you bet your ass it's fun! As well as taking you into my gaming life, and the different types of gaming, I'll be going into more detail about my open road biker lifestyle, and how it's all shaped who I am as a person. My goal is to present my side of the story, on behalf of all the dorks out there that get made fun of. I'm a very sociable guy, and you can't always identify a dork by looks alone (although most of the time I play the part :D).
